Who We Are

We are a small boutique mobile app studio in Sioux Falls that specializes in iPhone app design, strategy and promotion as well as social media marketing. We have our own apps (www.getgratitude.co) as well as help others create best selling apps. We also manage exciting side projects that are for the greater good (like helping victims of domestic violence). We love our clients more than anything and work really, really hard to make sure they receive everything they need. Our mission is to help small businesses begin, develop and grow into powerhouses and we seriously love what we do.

Our intention is to share what we have learned along the way with you so you will gain skills in starting a small business, client relations, contracts and invoicing, marketing, social media, mobile apps and of course graphic design. You will also be in contact with some amazing small businesses in the community and through social media and we will help you get school credit (if applicable), a kick ass letter of reference and a small stipend every few months (to be determined with the right person).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a passion for usability, iPhone app and web design, social media and project management, who is up for anything and is ready to hit the ground running. We are looking for an intern who can help with our day-to-day operations, but who is ready with new, fresh ideas and a desire to learn and grow with the company. This role is not for you if you don’t enjoy writing emails and being nice to people, blogging, tweeting, posting on Facebook, you don’t know what Adobe Suite is and if you don’t see the glass half full. Our ideal intern would help us with the following and be super excited about it (need not apply if these tasks seem boring or annoying to you):

• Creating content and sourcing for our lifestyle blog
• Submitting our content to blogs and other news sites
• Emailing with customers, clients, and the CEO
• Starting and implementing an exciting side project of ours (in the social awareness and greater good world)
• Updating our website and blog with content, photos and minor edits
• Updating our social media platforms with unique content
• Sending contracts and invoices to clients
• Creating unique yet intuitive app designs

Requirements

• Enthusiastic about life and working in the mobile apps world
• Attention to detail
• Organization and project management
• A good communicator (read: not passive aggressive)
• Professionalism on the phone and in person
• Knowledge of and (some) experience with Adobe Suite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and not afraid to work in unfamiliar programs
• Independently driven
• Ability to take direction under pressure
• Access to a computer with internet
• Ability to work remotely a must
